From San Francisco to Los Angeles 

California offers some of the world’s most spectacular sights and best spots for vacations. From the Golden Gate to Tinsel Town this motor coach tour itinerary includes must see places along the Big Sur coast on the Pacific. You can choose just the three day tour along the coast or combine it with hotels and tours in San Francisco and/or Los Angeles to make it a 5 or 7 day package vacation.

San Francisco Riesling
Day 1: Saturday (D) San Francisco. Check in for two nights at Handlery Union Square Hotel or Tuscan Inn Fisherman’s Wharf (*). Afternoon free for exploring the city, Fisherman’s Wharf or riding cable cars, etc. Dinner tonight at your choice of Italian or French Restaurant.
Day 2: Sonoma and Napa Valley Wine Country tour at 8:10. Across the Golden Gate Bridge visit the historic square in Sonoma. Time for lunch on your own. Then to Napa Valley. Visit two or three wineries. Return to the city via Oakland Bay Bridge. (Instead of wine country take a city tour with Muir Woods. OR for Yosemite 13 hour tour add $80 per person.)  * Other hotels in San Francisco also available.

3 days California Cypress
 Day 3 Monday: (D) Leave San Francisco around 9:00 a.m. Driving south along San Andreas Fault then west to the Pacific Ocean down Highway One you go through Santa Cruz.  Miles of artichoke and strawberry fields by the Monterey Bay, home of Fort Ord where armed forces once trained now students prepare for their future at California State University. Going through Monterey we stop at Cannery Row around lunch time and optional visit of the world renown Monterey Bay Aquarium. Driving along stops are made at  *Pacific Grove  *17 Mile Drive  *Pebble Beach *Carmel by the Sea for about an hour. Check-in to the hotel by 5:30 p.m.

Day 4 Tuesday : (B)  Monterey to San Luis Obispo. 148 miles.
*Scenic Highway One *Big Sur Coast
*Coastal Redwoods *San Simeon.
*Tour No. 1 of Hearst Castle, ideal for first time
visitors with an easy walk, a total of about 150
steps. About 2 hours. Via Morro Bay we reach San Luis Obispo at about 3:30. 
Hotel check in by 4:00 p.m.
La Cuesta Motor Inn, San Luis Obispo. 

 
Day 5 Wednesday: (B)  San Luis Obispo to Santa Barbara. 95 miles.
About an hour south to Solvang, a delightful village of    
Danish Heritage with pastry and gift shops galore.
On to Santa Barbara for a short visit and end of the motor coach tour.
Avoiding freeway traffic Pacific Surfliner train at 2:00 takes you along the coast with magnificent scenery through Oxnard, Ventura and San Fernando Valley arriving Los Angeles Union Station at 4:55 or Anaheim at 5:49 San Diego at 7:50 p.m. Alternately Santa Barbara Airbus at 1:20 or 4:20 arrives LAX about 3:45 or 6:45.

L.A. Bustle and Stars
 Day 5 Wednesday Evening:  Arriving Los Angeles check in for two nights at Kyoto Grand Hotel and Garden.  ** You can stay near Los Angeles Airport or Anaheim.
Day 6 Thursday: Grand tour of Los Angeles & Movie Stars’ Home (about 8 hours). See Hollywood sign, Rodeo Drive, Melrose, Sunset Strip, Farmers Market, Olvera Street, Chinatown, The Music Center and the Griffith Park Observatory and Movie Stars' Homes in Beverly Hills and Bel Air. 
Day 7 Friday: Transfer to Los Angeles International Airport.
