1st Day. San Francisco to Monterey. 154 miles.
Leave San Francisco at 8:30a.m. Travel through
Silicon Valley, San Jose, and Gilroy to Salinas
called Valley of the World by John Steinbeck.
Spend an hour at the National Steinbeck Center
Museum. Past Laguna Seca for a tour of:

*17 Mile Drive *Pebble Beach *Carmel.

2nd Day. Monterey to Solvang. 214 miles.
*Scenic Highway One *Big Sur Coast
*Coastal Redwoods *San Simeon.
*Tour No. 1 of Hearst Castle, ideal for first time
visitors with an easy walk, a total of about 150
steps. About 2 hours. Via San Luis Obispo we
reach Solvang at about 5:00.

3rd Day. Solvang to Los Angeles. 135 miles.

Danish Heritage with gift shops galore.
On to Santa Barbara for a short visit.
Inland through Fillmore to Simi Valley for tour of Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.  South to Van Nuys by 4:00 then to LAX. 
Renaissance Hotel - L.A. Airport by 5:00 p.m
Close to various rental car companies and for connections
by shuttles to hotels in greater Los Angeles area.
Train connection in Van Nuys. At 4:15. board the Pacific Surfliner. Avoiding freeway traffic arrive L.A. Union Station at 5:10. Anaheim by 5:51 then San Diego at 7:50 p.m.
