Yosemite Valley is located about 215 miles south east of
San Francisco. It is possible to see Yosemite Valley,
Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove of Big Trees in two
days - just one night.
Day 2 or 3: At 8:30 a.m. pick up. The morning begins with a stop at the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias located near the South Gate of Yosemite. Time to walk around these massive trees and enjoy the solitude that these silent sentinels have to offer. On into Yosemite Valley, making ‘photo stops’ at scenic view points, we can see El Capitan, Bridalveil and Yosemite Falls, Sentinel Rock, Half Dome and more……. eventually making our way into the village area and Yosemite Lodge. Free time for lunch at the full service food court. Or you can take the shuttle to the National Park Headquarters for a look at the displays and exhibits of park history returning by 3:30. The return trip starts with pick up at Yosemite Lodge at 3:45. A brief stop is made at about 6:00. Coming over the Altamont Pass we drive through Livermore Valley arriving San Francisco by 8:30. You are dropped off at the hotels from where you were picked up. There can be traffic delays or late departure - please do not expect to catch a flight at night. If you are going on to San Francisco International Airport it is best to take a shuttle or taxi from the first stop. June to October 30 tours operate daily going to Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. November to May as those areas are closed you spend time in Yosemite Valley. Package price consists of: A) Transportation from San Francisco to and from Yosemite Valley by S F Sightseeing using a large motor coach. B) Yosemite and Beyond with a small motor coach to Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. C) Park entrance fee. Plus D) Room including tax.
